Sirius "Lifetime" service has Serious Issues

First pay $500 for the Sirius "lifetime" service agreement, and then discover the fine print that only the vendor could love:
Transfer Fee: If you wish to transfer your Subscription to a different Sirius Receiver during the term of a prepaid subscription or committed subscription period, we may charge you a transfer fee of up to $75.00. You may not transfer a lifetime Subscription to a different Sirius Receiver.

I predict Sirius lifetime service subscribers will go to extreme measures to keep their existing receivers alive.

The lifetime subscription has been a huge bargain for me. I am on year 5 of lifetime subscription and I am still on my first radio. By purchasing the lifetime subscription you can now purchase additional radios for $6.99 a month. That boils down to roughly $83 a year for a new subscription. Far less than the $142.45 per year if you never opted to purchase the lifetime subscription. I ended up purchasing two additional radios for $6.99 per month.

I'm not sure if they even offer the lifetime subscription anymore? Someone posted on a blog that you have to call Sirius-XM customer service and request the lifetime subscription.

Here's a link to their regular subscription plans:
